Bloomington-based startup Cheddar, which offers a usage-based billing platform, has added developer relations expert Tim Falls to its board. Falls has advised a number of startups and helped Denver-based SendGrid, which helps companies integrate email into apps, grow from six to more than 250 employees and raise more than $30 million in capital. Falls comes on board at Cheddar on the heels of the firm’s $1.25 million seed round funded by eight Midwestern venture firms, including Chicago-based lead investor M25 Group, Indianapolis-based Elevate Ventures and Cincinnati-based Connectic Ventures. Since that round closed in August, Cheddar has raised an additional $200,000 on venture platform AngelList. Meanwhile, Cheddar CEO Mike Trotzke has been selected to pitch at the Southeast Fintech Venture Conference on Nov. 20 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
